Alfredo Pasta Sauce


The Goods:

Generally, our bodies have a bit of trouble digesting lactose. Skip the lactose by switching it up to this alfredo sauce, which is made using plantbased milk. Nutritional yeast brings a cheesy flavour, and coconut flour acts as our thickening ingredient. Nutritional yeast is a powerhouse of a supplement, loaded with antioxidants.

What you’LL need:

1 cup dry fettuccine noodles (I use organic brown rice)

handful parsley

1 cup frozen green peas


2 tsp minced garlic

1 cup veggie stock

1.5 cups plantbased milk (good quality & creamy!) (Silk is great)

1 tbsp coconut flour

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

salt and pepper, to taste

How to make it:

  1. Sautee garlic on medium-high.

  2. Add the veggie stock, dairy-free milk, coconut flour, and nutritional yeast.

  3. Once the sauce starts to thicken, add salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Add the fettuccine and peas.

  5. Let simmer for 5 mins on low.

  6. Top with chopped parsley.
